About

In 2016, legendary designer and Pentagram partner Michael Bierut joined AIGA Connecticut for a discussion of his life’s work and new book, How to. The evening also included a book signing, and guests had the option to pre-order a book through our website for pickup at the event.

Process

I coordinated with a designer to create the graphics needed to promote this event cohesively across all of AIGA’s channels. I was also tasked with writing promotional copy, developing and executing a social strategy, building and scheduling HTML emails, updating the organization website, configuring and monitoring registration (including the option to pre-order books), live posting during the event, and reporting on profits. Because of Bierut’s status, the event sold out within the first week of promotion and we altered our event format to accommodate additional guests.
