After a major education initiative and national level speaker, AIGA decided to change gears and embrace the popular paint-nite-style model of combining food and drink with a single-session craft. Because chalkboard lettering is on trend at the moment, and chalkboard menus are a brewery staple, we decided to combine local beer with local talent for an afternoon social and workshop.

I coordinated with the designer to create the graphics needed to promote this event cohesively across all of AIGA’s channels. I was also tasked with writing promotional copy, developing and executing a social strategy, building and scheduling HTML emails, updating the organization website, configuring and monitoring registration, live posting during the event, and reporting on profits. The event sold out within two weeks of launching promotion, and we re-organized in order to accommodate additional guests.
